About Me.
Andrée is Quebec artist living and working in New York. After completing her thesis on embodiment in the age of technology as inspired and contrasted by the writings of Gilles Deleuze and her passion for horses, she obtained a Master of Art in Theater and Communication from Université du Québec à Montréal.
How we inhabit ourselfves and the unfolding of our deepest dreams and potentials has been the through line of her life’s journey. A passionate curiosity that has led her to study somatics, expressive arts, mindfulness and spirituality.
in 2007, Andrée began studying the Tamalpa Life-Art somatic process. This was a pivotal moment which catalyzed the integration of her 2 passions: art and horses, as a path to embodied dialogues and mutual healing with horses.
In 2015, shortly after becoming certified as a Kundalini Yoga teacher, she began working with people in recovery for alcohl and substance abuse blending meditation and yoga to the somatic-art process. Her interest in the power of the body to resolve trauma dates back to her early twenties when as an art student she was introduced to Butoh shortly after the loss of her father; a traumatic event that left her with uncontrollable bouts of shaking and an extreme eye sensititivity to light.
Those early years spent between barn, art and dance studios where the trail of seeds connecting creativity, movement, horses and healing.
The wisdom of the body-mind is infinite. And it is my deepest wish is to help you befriend your body by engaging emotions and feelings into empowering dialogues capable of generating the health and happiness you deserve.
What people say about working with me…

I have been in recovery for the past 4½ months and I am completely honest when I say that “yoga days” are my favorite. When I wake up feeling irritation, discomfort or negative emotions, I know that when that hour comes I will find peacefulness and that time is enough to show me that anything is possible. I am not sure how I would have gone through all my negative emotions without Ms. Andrée’s support.
The process of yoga has deeply improved how I breathe through different emotional situations. The tuning of my mind with my body has created a positive relationship between the two.
I did not realize how connected my body and my emotions affected each other. This is a much needed practice to regain my desire to continue living on this earth.
Yoga has been by far the most beneficial group I have had in all my time in recovery. When I came here 4 months ago I was very angry, anxious and extremely uncomfortable in my own skin. I signed up for 2 classes a week and it instanstly became my favorite group. I’ve gotten more out of yoga class than i have from any book/worksheet.
I have learnt how to feel comfortable in my own skin. I have been able to safely deal with my triggers, cravings and drug dreams. I now feel more confident in my recovery.
